Today, biometrics is also used for controlling access to secure areas, this trend extend to the general public, and could be integrated into our lives every day through connected objects.
Six researchers Idiap Research Institute have developed a biometric watch that will serve as an access control system.
September 16, 2014 in Martigny, this watch called BioWatch was presented at a ICC conference  (International Create Challenge) it to the ability to scan the venous system of user, this technology would be used as a method of identification of the person, once this barrier past, the watch could communicate with other connected equipment for achieve all types of transactions.

The advantage of this technology which is based on the venous system is that the patterns morphological don't can be copied, unlike fingerprint.
This technology could be applied to different types of connected objects and make our archaic traditional access control systems.
